Territory Sales Representative - Alberta & BC

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales profitability and growth by maintaining relationships with our clients by effectively selling our products.
  • Contact and secure new and existing accounts.
  • Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Participate in trade shows.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential for new & existing business.
  • Supply management with oral &/or written reports on customer needs, interests, competitive activities, potential for new products &/or new clients.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ year’s sales experience (specifically with garden centers) with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal with the ability to persuade, listen, and provide customer service.
  • Embodies strong traits such as decision-making, problem solving and possessing good judgement.
  • Ability to project a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Industry knowledge preferred but not mandatory, garden center sales experience is a must.
  • Adept at time management and able to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group environment.
  • Trustworthy, honest, respectful and flexible.
  • Proficient computer skills working with various office equipment, computers and various programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license.
